Bodossakis – Athanasiades, Prodromos (1891-1979)
1. The building of the General State
Archives.
2. Letter written by Nikolaos Deloukas, President of the Committee (Ephorate) of the General State Archives (GSA), towards Prodromos Athanasiadis-Bodossakis. The GSA accepts Bodossakis’ donations towards the construction of a building with specific requirements meant to house the offices of the GSA and expresses the gratitude of the members for the satisfaction of a 62-year-old effort. Eugenides, Eugene (1882-1952)
Request by the Eugenides Foundation to expand its installments with the addition of a Planetarium. Architectural designs are included. Dromokaitis (or Pafilas), George (1829-1896)
1. George Dromokaitis’ (or Pafilas’) will, written in Chios on the 13th of February 1880. The document that forwards the will from the Greek Consulate of the island to the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that, of the 2.300.000 francs allotted from his inheritance, a sum of 500.000 were meant for the foundation and maintenance of a Sanatorium in whichever part of Greece was deemed suitable. Syggros, Andreas
(1830-1899)

of Athens by which the publication of Andreas Syggros’ secret handwritten will

2. Inventory report of the fortune
donated by Andreas Syggros. Through his will he bestowed large sums to the Athens
Poorhouse, the ‘Dromokaitio’ Hospital, the Amalieion Orphanage, the Municipal
Hospital and the officer’s equity fund. A large amount of his land was bestowed
immediately to the State for the construction of schools and other public
buildings. After his death, his wife Ifigenia Mavrokordatou donated the Syggros
Estate and the Andreas Mansion to the Greek Public. She also allotted part of
his inheritance and monitored the construction of the “Andreas Syggros”
Hospital and the avenue of the same name.
